The GC's Office is operated by Loyal9 LLC, Riverside, CA. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled. We keep it short because we mean it.

What We Collect

Contractor directory data — sourced from the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) public registry. This includes business name, license number, license classification, city, status, and expiration date. This is public record.

When you claim a profile:

• Your license number — used to verify your identity against the CSLB record, then stored as your profile identifier
• The government URL you provide — stored as the source link behind your Licensed badge. This is a public URL.
• Bond number — used only for verification against the URL you provide. We do not store your bond number.
• Bond URL — stored as the source link behind your Bonded badge. Public URL.
• Workers' comp URL — stored as the source link behind your Insured badge. Public URL.
• Phone number — stored on your claimed profile, displayed to users who expand your card
• Service area zip codes — stored on your profile to power location-based filtering
• Profile photo and work photos — stored in AWS S3, displayed on your public profile

Location data — if you use "My Location," your browser's geolocation API returns coordinates to filter nearby contractors. We do not store your coordinates.

Zip code input — used to filter directory results. Not stored.

What We Don't Collect

• No tracking pixels
• No third-party ad networks
• No cookies beyond what's required for session state
• No bond numbers, policy numbers, or insurance carrier details
• No payment information of any kind

How We Use Your Data

• To display your public contractor profile in the directory
• To verify your license, bond, and WC status via government URLs you provide
• To show trust badges (Licensed, Bonded, Insured) linked to their public source
• To filter and sort directory results by location and trade

Data Sources

Contractor directory data is sourced from the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) public registry at cslb.ca.gov. All data used is publicly available under California public records law.

Data Storage

Claimed profile data is stored in AWS DynamoDB and AWS S3, both hosted in the United States. We use standard AWS security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.

Your Rights

If you have claimed a profile and want your data removed or corrected, email shannon@loyal9.app. We will respond within 5 business days.

Unclaimed profiles contain only public CSLB registry data. To dispute public record data, contact the CSLB directly at cslb.ca.gov.

Children's Privacy

This service is intended for licensed contractors and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
